Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of FWC is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. FWC members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as preparing the church bulletins to driving the church van.

Worship Team

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the choir. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of FWC, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

SLAM & JAM [Serving God-Loving Others-And-Making a Joyful Noise (elementary) Jesus-And-Me(Preschool)]

Our Children’s Ministries has three vital parts: Explorers’ Nursery, JAM Preschool, and SLAM Elementary.  We start by nurturing and caring for our little ones.  Showing them God’s love through providing for their basic needs.  Then in JAM we begin incorporating foundational Bible stories, songs, and Christian concepts.  We continue to build on the basic Bible knowledge is SLAM and include teaching and instruction on Holy living and growing strong Disciples.
t412 Middle Schoolers
This is a newly formed ministry designed for 11 & 12 year olds.  They meet weekly as well as come together for a unique worship service on the frist Sunday of each month.  Since this is a transition group they have events of their own as well as participate in Kids Church and Youth Group events to help form a smooth transition.

CHAOS Student Ministries (Christians Hyped About an Outstanding Savior)

Our Junior High and Senior High students are a close group of friends that support and encourage one another.  They come together corporately every Wednesday night for ‘youth group’.  They participate in many State level and National level youth events along many social outings.

Awakening Project Young Adults

Life can get complicated once you cross that nebulous threshold into adulthood. There are complicated decisions. Bigger stakes. Serious relationships. And a whole lot more decisions. The young adult group of Freedom Worship Center provides a welcoming atmosphere for 18-30ish.

Women of Freedom

FWC’s Women’s Group gives the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. We come together for times of Bible study, prayer, spa days, social outings (and, of course, food). Our group provides a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church as well as a chance to kick back, relax, and have fun.

Iron Men

The Men of FWC share a close bond. They enjoy getting together for Bible study and also enjoy doing various activities such as playing on our church softball team, going fishing, and out to dinner. They hold each other accountable. Accountability among men is an act of integrity.

Re-Engage Married Couples

Even though marriage is one of the most important institutions, it is the one which is under the most attack–internally and externally. Freedom Worship Center gives married couples the opportunity to join together for marriage seminars, weekend retreats, quarterly dinners, games, and outings.

EPIC (Experienced People In Christ)

Once you get past your mid 40’s, the fun has just begin. Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the 40ish & up group of FWC provides refreshment, ministry, and times of valuable interaction. A mentoring ministry gives older believers a chance to meet with and help younger believers grow in Christ.
Outreach Team
This is the heart of what we are about at FWC.  We reach out to our community in multiple ways including: quarterly ‘blessing’ projects like giving away gas cards, free car washes, free loads laundry at a local laundramat, we provide complete Thanksgiving meals to families, we adopt several families from the school system to buy for at Christmas, we give-away backpacks full of school supplies, and so much more!

Meals That Heal

When family events such as…New Baby, Surgeries, or Death occur our Meals that Heal team springs into action providing meals for the family.  This is a unique ‘hands-on’ ministry that shows up just when a family needs them most.

First Impressions Team

This is our ‘front door’ ministry.  The First Impressions Greeting team welcomes you at the door and provides information and support.  Our team assists new comers and regular attendees alike.  Their focus is to genuinely greet everyone with the love of Jesus and extend the warmest welcome possible.

Gate Keepers

The gate keepers team at FWC fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The gate keepers team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of FWC. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in audio formats. We also maintain an active Facebook and Twitter feed for additional church communication.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. FWC is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Throughout the week, volunteers to our Prayer Warriors team, pray for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs. Each Wednesday, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study.
